I’m Joey, I design functional digital experiences that solve problems, flow naturally and look beautiful.
Outside of Figma I have experience in 3D modeling, motion graphics, interaction design, no-code tools, leading user-feedback discussions, and front-end coding knowledge.
The majority of my work the last few years has been at seed & series A/B stage startups. I enjoy the scrappy environment as it allows me to contribute beyond just designing in figma as I am capable of delivering on multiple design fronts.
I’ve helped scale multiple products from 0 to tens of thousands of users. My approach goes beyond mere pixel arrangement; I excel in strategic thinking and enjoy collaborating with various disciplines.
My portfolio is under construction - "Learn More" links may be broken or removed while those case study pages are being built. Please reach out for me to walk you through any working files / projects in the meantime.

Hyper-personalized emails at scale
As the Founding Designer at Scout, my contributions have touched every corner of the project from product conceptualization & delivery to user feedback and fund raising decks. Scout raised pre-seed at the end 2022 and is preparing for their seed round coming 2024.
As the Senior Product Designer at Odyssey I helped scale from 0-10K users. I was in charge of the end-to-end design process. Created all marketing assets: 2D/3D animations, website, influencer campaign content. Led user research discussions with internet creators to identify pain points and identify revenue streams.
Welcome had two designers. I was in charge of our Admin CMS suite and organizing all user feedback into actionable items. Our CMS suite had 9 sections and hundreds of views that controlled the entire user experience on the consumer side.
Considering gaming is what naturally brought me into the product design field, I stumbled across animation & modeling software early-on.

Building scroll-based animations in webflow
Animating Pax's website like Apple
I made this to model and animate a product in 3D and learn scroll gesture animations in webflow. It was one of my first experiences combining 3D modeling & animation with a web-based experience.
TOSS was a startup concept of mine I was going to pursue. Really it just turned into a learning project of mine on how to animate vectors in After effects and control the keyframes on scroll for web.
Babble was an anonymous social media platform I tried to launch with a friend in college. It was one of my first end-to-end projects. I handled all the design and front-end coding.
Designed a high-converting landing page (43% conversion rate) to get users aware of the new keyword staking functionality. Presearch saw over half of their token supply staked within two days. I still consult with Presearch periodically.
